Welcome To Alula Hospital
Alula Hospital, located in Mekelle town within the Tigray region of Northern Ethiopia, was founded in 2020 by a coalition of physicians and entrepreneurs with the aim of becoming a flagship institution for modern medical care and addressing healthcare service gaps. We introduced advanced services such as CT scans, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and pathology. Prior to our establishment, the catchment area of nearly 8 million people had limited access to essential medical imaging equipment, with only one CT scan and MRI available in a government teaching hospital, often rendered inoperable due to budget constraints. Recognizing the urgent community need and the strain on government hospitals, we emerged to fill these critical gaps.
